Maxdoor

Maxdoor is a design project created by nodesign of Brazil for the entry door for their Maxhaus concept which allows the buyer to design the entire layout of their home on the internet. Maxdoor was created to be the gateway to this new housing concept and to challenge the conventions of traditional door design. The Maxdoor uses a remote control instead of a key or opens upon touching the doorknob. It uses a digital door bell, LED lock and unique number lighting to identify each unit. The door also comes with sound proofing, a hidden peephole, integrated mail slot and a backup battery which allows it to work for up to a week without power. via: designboom
